University of Waikato – Tauranga Campus
“Building the new University of Waikato campus in the heart of the Tauranga CBD provided opportunities to trial new and innovative teaching styles while creating functional, creative spaces for students, staff and the community to enjoy. As you walk through our stunning building you see varying spaces tailored to multiple users and understand how furniture brings this building to life and encourages people to stay, work and study.
The University wanted to create a “sticky campus” whereby students and staff are encouraged to stay on campus and give the place a sense of vibrancy. By creating collaborative social learning spaces outside classrooms and throughout the campus, it is the furniture choices that make the spaces inviting, each offering an alternative look and feel.

“We worked closely with Crestline and Gaze Commercial to find the right furniture to meet the needs of our space and our 1200 employees. Crestline supplied us with soft seating, breakout and meeting room furniture, focus booths, leaners, storage units with planters, quick folding tables with flip lid power boxes throughout the project and a custom boardroom table with power/data modules.
