Location: Tauranga
Tauranga’s CBD waterfront is home to 90 Devonport Road, a 6 Green Star-awarded building designed by Warren and Mahoney that sets a new benchmark for sustainability and design quality.
As the largest mass timber office building in New Zealand, 90 Devonport Road showcases sustainable design’s potential to reduce environmental impact. The building’s timber structure not only creates a stunning feature but also holds more carbon than emitted during the construction process.
This innovative approach to design and sustainability has resulted in a building that is not only environmentally responsible but also provides a healthy and productive workspace for its occupants.
We’re proud to contribute to this groundbreaking project with furniture that meets stringent environmental requirements, including WELL and LEED compliance. We worked closely with the design team to ensure that our furniture supports the building’s sustainable goals and provides a comfortable and ergonomic workspace for the approximately 700 council staff who occupy the building.
The result is a building that is a true exemplar of sustainable design and a testament to the potential for buildings to be both functional and environmentally responsible. With its stunning design, commitment to sustainability, and focus on occupant well-being, 90 Devonport Road is a truly world-class building that sets a new standard for office design in New Zealand.
