Crestline Helps Auckland City Mission
Crestline was only too glad to step in (installer boots and all) when Auckland City Mission asked for help this month.
Auckland City Mission is one of the most significant providers of charitable aid in Auckland and continues to grow as the region’s most influential social service provider. Initially they were “winning souls for Christ” but overtime the Mission has changed from being seen as ‘the City Mission of the Anglican Church’ to ‘Auckland’s City Mission’. The services they offer have developed over time to reflect social changes, but their purpose remains to help people in desperate need.
Their offices are no longer fit for purpose, so a new building designed by Architects Gary Lawson and Nicholas Stevens, of Stevens Lawson Architects, is on the drawing board and will be completed by 2020! In the meantime, they have shifted out of their Hobson street premises whilst the new ‘Mission Homeground’ is built on their current site. Mission Homeground will open up a whole raft of opportunities for wellness and growth that they haven’t been able to provide up until now. The new development will be an incredibly welcoming place for all people and enable Auckland City Mission to deliver world-class services safely and efficiently.
One of our corporate clients very kindly donated an office-lot of furniture for us to donate to Auckland City Mission. Last week the Crestline team dismantled all the furniture and with the help of freight company Fliway, they transported it all to their temporary offices and re-installed it so that the ACM team could move on in and continue to help those in need.
It was a pleasure to step in and give something back to this hardworking charity, if you too would like to help out with a donation towards the ‘Homeground’ project click here. We eagerly await their move to ‘Mission Homeground’ in 2020!
