Masterton District Council

“Masterton District Council’s move into Waiata House – specifically relocating to the land it sits on – is fitting as it was originally the site of Masterton’s first Town Hall in the 1890s.
The project to get the building prepared and ready for moving in was not a fast one, but required time and consideration to ensure it suited the needs of Council staff. Open-plan working was a change for many in the organisation. We needed to ensure the fit out designed by Spaceworks Design Group, and furniture from Crestline Furniture Systems, enabled flexible working while also providing space and privacy. For some staff, simply walking into the building, seeing and experiencing the environment, changed their minds about how the space would work. While there will always be teething issues, initial feedback has been positive and staff are happy about coming to work in a modern environment.”

University of Waikato – Tauranga Campus

“Building the new University of Waikato campus in the heart of the Tauranga CBD provided opportunities to trial new and innovative teaching styles while creating functional, creative spaces for students, staff and the community to enjoy. As you walk through our stunning building you see varying spaces tailored to multiple users and understand how furniture brings this building to life and encourages people to stay, work and study.

The University wanted to create a “sticky campus” whereby students and staff are encouraged to stay on campus and give the place a sense of vibrancy.  By creating collaborative social learning spaces outside classrooms and throughout the campus, it is the furniture choices that make the spaces inviting, each offering an alternative look and feel.

Selecting Crestline to fit out the University campus has been a very successful venture. Crestline’s product range met our standards for robustness and longevity, whilst providing a modern range of furniture that was comfortable and vibrant.

“We worked closely with Crestline and Gaze Commercial to find the right furniture to meet the needs of our space and our 1200 employees. Crestline supplied us with soft seating, breakout and meeting room furniture, focus booths, leaners, storage units with planters, quick folding tables with flip lid power boxes throughout the project and a custom boardroom table with power/data modules. After extensive analysis and on-site trials, the Sidiz T50 operator chair was also chosen as one of our ‘chairs of choice’ going forward. Throughout the course of this project, we have purchased over 1000 T50 chairs and we continue to choose this chair because of its unparalleled combination of ergonomic features, comfort and value for money.  There were also particular challenges for Crestline with gaining access to our site which meant deliveries needed to be well planned to fit into very specific and tight time slots. The Crestline team were always proactive, professional and responsive with this. With their communication and project management, Crestline are leaders in the commercial furniture market. Our move date was achieved within the challenging budget and timeframes we set. Bauer carried out a comprehensive and detail review of the market and furniture suppliers in NZ. Crestline was selected to supply our Desks, Task Chairs, Café Seating/Tables and the Breakout Sofas and Leaners. Crestline helped us achieve our key objectives in supplying suitable quality, cost-effective furniture. Delivery was professional, installed on-site on time.”

“Crestline Furniture Systems were engaged by Bauer Media to supply and install new desks, office chairs and other furniture for the fitout of their new offices at Shed 12, City Works Depot, Auckland. Beca were engaged by Bauer to Project Manage fitout of the new premises, this included the procurement, engagement and coordination of the works that Crestline undertook. The project was of significant size with approximately 350 staff and a gross floor area of 4500m2. The programme for the project was also tight with a fixed end date that had to be achieved. Crestline’s works were a critical component to achieving the successful move of the Bauer team from their previous premises on time. Throughout the contract, the Crestline team were easy to deal with, kept their promises and communicated regularly and clearly. Variations were minimal and were always discussed and confirmed prior to being incorporated in the final design and scope of works. The final installation on site required Crestline to adapt their plans and work in and around a number of other contractors. This was done without complaint and the full installation was completed on time and to a high standard. Our client is extremely happy with the outcome and Crestline were a key contributor to the success of the project. The quality of workmanship has been exceptional with no defects reported to date, some six weeks post completion. I would not hesitate to work with Crestline again in the future and would recommend them to others without hesitation.”
